It's natural for me to want to paint the objects within my vision every day - and that includes my art materials. The tools of my trade are my treasures. I love my pastels although I don't use them much right now. There's something about their rainbow of colors and tubular shape that's intriguing. More importantly, it's their potential to make art that I love. They're just waiting patiently in the drawer for the call to make something beautiful. Pastels just seem to do it by themselves.

A Painting A Day by Diana Marshall said...

I love your vibrant paintings and your loose brush strokes, which describe the objects beautifully and simply, (which I find hard to do)Also the colours of your shadows are interesting.

Hi Marie!! I love your commentary and your painting! I used to be pretty good with pastels. You have encouraged me to get them out!

Pastels are so sensuous.
