Marie, I really like your sense of design and strong colour. I agree with what you say about these small paintings - they let you focus much more easily and concentrate on the main issues at hand.
Yellow and purple. Perfect! I'm a dedicated small painter since viewing Trevor Chamberlain's work 15 years ago. He makes a small painting look big. He is also the master of simplified brushstrokes.
