Often I find it difficult to release (sell) paintings just after I've painted them. I want them to hang around (literally) for a while so I can learn from them. What will each painting tell me about its color combination, composition, 'style', subject matter or something more elusive. It's usually this last bit that I'm after. Did I surprise myself in some way, did I create beautiful marks by accident? It's a treasure hunt. Otherwise, why do it?

Cool.. love your style, it's very much like Matisse, or maybe Gauguin. SO UNIQUE and creative !!! Great work, Marie !
