This was an experiment in that I drew the figure into or onto another painting, a still-life with flowers.

Wow! Love it. Very beautiful
Your paintings are amazing. I love your strong women. This one is particularly beautiful to me, perhaps because of the garden setting, the texture, the richness- it is hard to say.
How was it an experiment for you?
Take care,
Heather
The experiment aspect of it was that in a class on how to make abstract art, I made a painting of flowers - not my choice of subjects but the idea was to reduce the realism. I knew I wouldn’t keep the painting so I turned it upside down and drew the figure into and over the flower pattern. I found it exciting to work this way, kind of like using found objects or collage. The figure is hidden yet revealed in relation to the background.
Thanks for asking your question. I now better understand the potential of this idea!
