I have no idea where this idea came from. I simply wanted to picture three nude women dancing or at play - and the dove appeared. This is mostly an experiment painting flesh and using odd but interesting color choices overall.

At first I painted the flowers somewhat realistically. But looking it a few months later, I decided to paint them abstractly to give the garden a sense of color and exuberant growth. I think this contrasts nicely with her mood of stillness and reflection.
